History

Montclair High School’s Architecture Club was founded in 2007 by students Jesse McElwain, Sarah Carlton, and Geoffrey Kaicher, all class of 2008. Within the first academic year of its existence, the club grew to 12 regular members. The original activities included discussions with local architects and developers, site visits to the then under-construction New York Times building, and field trips to notable architectural monuments in the greater New York City area.

Today, the club is maintained by Greta Gardner, and supervised by Mrs. Pamela Shakespear.
